Innovate for a Sustainable Blue Economy

The Hariri Foundation and Berytech, under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment, successfully launched Lebanon's first Blue Economy Ideathon on 20-21 July 2024 at the Radisson Blue Martinez Hotel.
Aligned with the "National Agenda for the Blue Economy," the event gathered 20 teams compromising of 47 participants from various coastal regions to propose innovative solutions in the different Blue Economy sectors.
The two-day ideathon featured workshops on ideation, business modeling, and pitching, alongside insightful discussions with Blue Economy experts.
Six startups were shortlisted to present at the Youth Rise of Lebanon Forum, with opportunities to win cash prizes and incubation support.
